Commission Members

Honorary NMDVLC Chair Barbara Richardson was raised in Concord, Massachusetts. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Colby Junior College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College, graduating magna cum laude. Bill Richardson and Barbara met while both were attending schools in Massachusetts and married a few years later. They recently celebrated their 35th anniversary. As First Lady, Mrs. Richardson has worked to improve the lives of all New Mexicans through her three main initiatives: fighting to stop the cycle of domestic violence, working to immunize all our children, and expanding literacy programs throughout the state.
